Who runs this site

This is the personal portfolio of Harsh Hede, a creative director working in Prague, Czech Republic. It is run by me as an individual, not by a company.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Its content is managed in Sanity, and its video is served by Mux.

Privacy

The short version: an ordinary visit to this site stores nothing on your device and creates no record that identifies you.

Three things do collect something, and this is all of them:

• Hosting. Vercel keeps standard server logs — your IP address, the page requested, the time — for a short period, to run and secure the site. That is a normal part of serving a web page and I do not have a way to connect those logs to a person.
• Audience measurement. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure loading speed. Both are cookieless and aggregated: no identifier is stored on your device and no profile is built. I see numbers, never people.
• Recruiter links. If you arrived on a link I sent you personally — one that looks like harshhede.work/r/x7k2m9ab — the site can record which pages you opened and how long you spent, but only after you agree to it on the card that appears. Nothing at all is recorded if you decline, or if you simply ignore it.

That last one deserves its detail, because it is the only part that is about you specifically. It records the page path, the visible time on it, and a timestamp. It does not record your IP address, your browser, your location or any kind of fingerprint. The label I gave the link — usually a company and a role — is encrypted before it is stored, so it cannot be read by anyone but me.

Legal basis, in GDPR terms: hosting logs and aggregate measurement rest on my legitimate interest in running a working, secure website; the recruiter-link record rests on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long: recruiter-link records are kept while a conversation is live and deleted when it ends, and in any case you can have them erased immediately by pressing “No thanks” on the card, which deletes everything already recorded for your link. Hosting logs are Vercel's to keep and are short-lived.

Your rights: you can ask me for a copy of anything held about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to it. Because the only thing I hold is keyed to a link I sent you, telling me which link is usually enough to find it. If you think I have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).

Nothing here is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone for advertising. Vercel, Sanity and Mux act as processors on my behalf; all three are US companies, and data reaching them is transferred on the standard contractual terms they publish.

Cookies

There is no cookie banner on this site for most visitors, and that is deliberate: an ordinary visit sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage. A banner would be asking permission for something that is not happening.

Three cookies exist, and none of them are third-party:

• hh_ref — set only when you arrive on a personal recruiter link, and only so the site knows which link you came from. It carries a random code, not your name.
• hh_consent — remembers whether you said yes or no to the card above, so it stops asking.
• hh_visits — only ever set on my own browser; it is what lets me into my own dashboard.

If you arrived on a recruiter link and would rather not be recorded, press “No thanks” on the card. It deletes the cookie and erases everything already logged for that link.

The work shown here

Most of the work on this site was made in a role — at VML, Ogilvy, Mark BBDO, Sun King, SapioManiac — or as a freelancer for a client. It is shown here as a record of what I contributed to it, which is the ordinary purpose of a portfolio.

Copyright and trademarks in that work belong to the clients and agencies who own them, not to me. Their names and marks appear here to identify the work, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim on their rights, or as those companies endorsing me.

Where a piece was a team effort — and most of it was — the credits on that project page say so. If you own something shown here and would like it changed or removed, write to me and I will do it.

The site itself — its writing, design and code — is mine.

About the site itself

It is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel. The type is set in Libre Baskerville, Plus Jakarta Sans, Hanken Grotesk and JetBrains Mono, all served from this domain rather than from a font network, so loading a page tells no one else that you did.

It is meant to work with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and with animation turned off — if you have asked your system for reduced motion, this site listens. If something here does not work for you, that is a fault worth telling me about, and I would like to hear it: harshhede.cz@gmail.com.
